• that the Bible is special and different from any other book
• basic facts about the Bible's content and structure
• that the Bible is one continuous story that tells us about God, His creation and his plans and purposes for His people
• that the Bible has important instructions for us, which help to grow us in our faith and guide us in our everyday lives
• the importance of obeying God's Word
