The Foundation

Lesson 1

In this lesson we will briefly review basics in Bible study, then cover Genesis 1:1-2:3. This will lay the foundation upon which to build the remainder of the study.

(You may want to listen to the INTRODUCTORY LECTURE before you begin this first week's homework. Then once you have completed this lesson, you may want to lister to LECTURE ONE.)

Building on the Foundation

Having laid the foundation, we can now begin building upon it. In this lesson, we will look at the meaning of the passage in II Peter, where he says" "a day is as a thousand years." We will also look at the Seventh Day, the day of rest.

A Salvation Ready to be Revealed

There are things that things necessary to understand with respect to the scope of salvation in order to have a correct understanding of end times. This lesson is vitally important for that! Please be sure to do this lesson well. It will pay great dividends in clearing up misunderstandings.

Basic Distinctions

This is our final foundational lesson. (After this lesson we will jump with both feet into the first of the writings of Moses --the first few chapters of Genesis.)

In this week's lesson we will lay out basic distinctions between related things. These distinctions will be helpful in allowing us to more correctly understand things related to prophecy.

The Chronology Laid Out, I

Now that we have a certain understanding of things concerning the first 31 verses of Scripture, and see the distinctions between ages and dispensations, etc., we are ready to begin pouring through the first five chapters of Genesis. Just as Jesus showed His disciples that they should begin with the writings of Moses in order to understand Scripture, so shall we! This week's lesson lays out undeniable truths to give us foundations upon which we are to build.

Having looked at Genesis 2-5, we now delve into chapters 6-8. This, of course, is the story of Naoh's Flood. What can we learn from these historical facts, as they are divinely given? We can learn much, to be sure! God's Word is Awesome! And awesomely laid out, isn't it?
